Industry Operations Fundamentals Course
This is a two day micro-credential course offered jointly between McMaster University and The Strong Link (TSL).
This course will include workplace culture and communication training based on the requirements and standards in the sector to enable effective employment and integration into the Ontario workforce.
Participants will also gain an effective understanding of Industry 4.0 operations, operations management fundamentals, critical leadership skills, and understand the attributes employees need to have to become effective future leaders in industry.

Hands-on Training in Machine Operation
This 3-day intensive training program delivered by Letar Inc., a company with decades of experience of expertise. It is designed to provide new and developing machine operators with a strong foundation in CNC machining, shop safety, quality inspection, and multi-axis awareness. The course blends classroom instruction with hands-on shop exposure to ensure participants understand not just what to do, but why it matters in a production environment.
By the end of the program, participants will be able to safely interact with CNC machines, understand setup fundamentals, perform basic inspection tasks, and support production operations across 3-axis, 4-axis, and introductory 5-axis environments.

Employment Help and Career Guidance
Once training and certification is complete, participants will have access to employment assistance through a team of professionals with years of experience finding placements for people.
Services will include CV review and rewriting to highlight participants’ past achievements and new skills, job opportunity identification, interview coaching, and contacting employers to forward resumes of qualified candidates.
Participants will also get access to the Career Accelerator, a short masterclass designed for one outcome: helping job seekers land their next role in the age of AI hiring.
This course will cover the modern hiding landscape, how to optimize and structure your resume and cover letter for AI, important skills to master interviewing, and actionable steps to make finding your next job easier.

Access to Certification through OACETT
The Ontario Association of Engineering Technicians and Technologists is also partnering with MMRI on this project, to provide access to valuable certification and their extensive network of members to qualified participants.
Participants who meet the requirements for OACETT’s C. Tech. certification at any point during the program will be able to write the exam and get their first year of membership for free.
